NewMotion manages and operates a European network of more than 52.000 online charge points with a custom made back-office. In addition to our back-office we build online portals and mobile apps to service our customers. We integrate with a lot of other charge point and charge card providers across Europe. To join our international Technology & Innovation department we are looking for an experienced Golang Engineer.


  • Work on our Golang applications with an international team of 50 engineers;

  • Create new and improve our existing Golang applications according to the needs of the business by, among others, adding new features;

  • Contribute to broader system design discussions and decision making with the team;

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to more junior engineers;

  • Log and manage technical debt and work with the team to estimate tasks to remediate.


  • Minimum 2 years of work experience with Golang

  • Strong knowledge of the functional programming is highly desirable

  • Proven experience with developing mission critical, real time, cloud-based solutions (preferably in AWS) using kubernetes or serverless computing

  • Experience of writing Unit Tests and using the GoLang Testing framework

  • Good knowledge and practical experience in development of microservices using service mesh, microservices security, configuration, orchestration, monitoring and end-to-end lifecycle management

  • Good working knowledge of the mainstream technologies such as message bus (Kafka, Kinesis), cache technologies, GraphQL, and other used for highly scalable, reliable and functional back end systems

  • Good working knowledge and practical experience with AWS technology stack and kubernetes, ideally EKS or GKS

  • Proficient with relational and NoSQL databases

  • Prior experience with continuous CI/CD, and GitLab AutoDevops is a plus

  • Experience with Scrum and/or Kanban is a plus;

  • Self-motivated to explore new technologies, applications and environments;

  • Self-starter, great sense of responsibility, team-player;

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
